I've been looking for the best breakfast places in Shreveport since i've been in town and Sue's Country Kitchen ranks among the best. It's just a simple, no frills country diner with good food, good service and reasonable prices. I got the eggs benedict and this is the first place i've ever been to that offers you three different ways to get your poached eggs: soft, medium and fully cooked. I went with medium, the normal way I guess and they were pretty good. My dad's eggs benedict are probably better but I grew up on them and i'm biased but these were pretty good. The other thing I liked about Sue's Country Kitchen was the fact that they actually had hash browns. Everywhere i've been down south either has grits or home fries but I dont' see hash browns to often and I'm a big hash brown fan so this definately helped out.

For a family type diner, it was excellent. Good food, fast service, friendly staff, and decent prices. We enjoyed the fried eggs, excellent crispy bacon, delicious biscuits and French toast.

When in the south, do as the south do. Biscuits and gravy with all the fixins (spelling like the south do). They call it home cooking, we call it greasy spoon---damn good either way. Everything I saw come from the kitchen, look yummy. Nice mom/pop atmosphere. Staff is great and friendly.

A chicken fried steak, drowning in hot white gravy, here at 3 am, is just what the doctor ordered! And a ridiculously fresh and crisp salad bar at that very same hour?...Whaaaaaaaaat? Seriously! It's true! I have never, ever had a bad meal here and I've hit it at all hours, sober and sometimes, not so much!

WTF are these guys eating thats so good. Give me some of that lol I had some coffee that tasted watered down. I ate here a few times thinking that it would get better, well it was still the same. The food was ok, it wasn't the best. Do youself a favor and drive a few more minutes to IHOP. Update: so I drove back from Dallas late one night. Around 2AM I got hungry...so I said hey what about another chance at this place. Talk about a circus...drunk patrons making a mess...a old guy with a prostitute...freaking crack head looking people, along with the waitress.....need I say more! I drove to IHOP!!!

Oh yeah! This place is the Shizz-nizzle! A breakfast staple when I lived in bossier. We would go pretty much every weekend. Amazing breakfast here. They always cook the bacon until it's CRISPY.....no fatty pieces served here! Best pancake batter I've had anywhere. There are a couple of "trendy" fancy pancake spots where I live. They are good, but I prefer just the basic pancakes at Sue's. When I come home for a visit, I try and hit up sue's if I can.

Our visit to Sue's Country Kitchen was possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. I work at a steakhouse, and when I see a "T-bone" steak on a menu, naturally I assume that it would include both a filet and strip. However, that is not the case at this establishment. When we received our steak and saw that it wasn't really a T-bone at all (the filet was totally absent), we politely sent it back and asked if we could order something different. We were told that we would still have to pay full price for a steak that we didn't even touch. Our server was very polite, however, the older woman who appeared to be a manager of some sort was very short and very rude with us. Overall, the experience was disappointing and we will not be returning. They would be receiving zero stars if it were possible to do so.

The food was good I wouldn't say it blew us away or anything but it was a cozy place for lunch. We both left full and satisfied, the price was great also.

Good food , good prices , friendly attentive wait staff , and your food arrives fast and hot. I've ate dinner and breakfast here , and it was good both times.

It appears breakfast is much a safer bet than lunch. There were little scrap-of-paper "specials" menus laying on the regular menus, so we ordered from those since they seem like a good deal, I got the chicken fried steak and my husband got the pork ribs and kraut. Each came with 3 sides, choice of bread and dessert (bread pudding that never materialized but we also never asked for it) for less than $9. The chicken fried steak is clearly frozen, mashed potatoes clearly instant, white gravy is too thick and flavorless, mac and cheese is gummy and clearly been sittin' around for a while. The green beans were okay, they at least had some flavor. Overall very school cafeteria quality. Somehow my husband's was worse- pork was grey and all gristle, no flavor. Kraut, peas, yams, german potato salad were okay. But I had to stop looking at his meat or I wasn't going to be able to eat anything. The jalapeno corn muffin isn't terrible, a little dry but fairly spicy, probably the best thing I had. Waitress was a little odd; when she gave us the bill my husband got out the card so she could go ahead and run it. After the card was out, she stood there, pulled out her hand santizer, took her time applying it to her hands, and then took the card. WTF? I guess we looked grimy (but like, take a look at the bathroom if you want to see grimy.) We usually eat at a casino but decided to try something different, we did not make the right call! We actually exited looking for a place called Shane's but got confused and ended up at Sue's!

Ate here once, HORRIBLE!! nothing here is good. Tastes like they use everything out of a can. Their food was greasy! Almost like they decided to take a cup of bacon grease and mix with your food before serving! It's dusty! table still had food on it; floor needed to be cleaned.Drinks? Bring your own drink if you don't want to get disgusted by whatever floats in your WATER. Takes many tries to keep a customer, but one try to lose one. And folks, I'll never recommend this horrifying place to my enemies. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Great restaurant, first place I came to in Bossier City. Staff is friendly and efficient, food is delicious, and served very quickly. Price is pretty good as well. I try to go at least once a week.

We ate here on a Saturday in March about noon but the breakfast looked so good we had it instead of lunch items. I liked this place. Several times while there when someone walked in the door you heard an employee call them by name. This to me meant it was a place for locals and to keep locals coming back you must be doing something right! My experience was none other than exceptional. I would drive out of my way to eat here again!

My favorite breakfast joint in Bossier, Sue's is reasonably priced, with tasty staple food and a friendly and attentive group of morning waitresses. When I come to Bossier, I'm usually up early. I'll stop by Sue's once a week or so to grab a bite. Even though I'm not from around here and I'm not that regular a customer, they always remember me in the mornings. I come in to write, sip coffee and get my day started. All of the breakfast plates I've had at Sue's have hit the spot. Great bacon, and their corned beef hash is excellent. Try the biscuits with some butter and honey, too!

So many great things to say about Sue's. The staff is very friendly! Can't stress that enough. They are outshined only by the yummy food they serve. The biscuits are fluffy, freshly made and delicious. The chorizo bfast sandwich was tasty. The lettuce and tomato added a crispy freshness. The hashbrowns were crispy outside and fluffy inside. The grits were appropriately were creamy, not runny or soupy- good enough to convert a Yankee.

this place is great, and open 24 hours, so if your hungry? your in luck. we came for breakfast, which was served up in huge country portions, and very quickly, and HOT. this place is bustling, with a great wait staff. I know today they will be really busy, as tropical storm isaac is heading thru, and our chicken fried steak and eggs was yummy, crispy, and country goodness. Our Tbone? needed some help, kinda thinly sliced, but still hit the spot. GOOD grits, and delightfully filling biscuits and gravy. plenty of leftovers for a tropical storm, in case the power goes out. a bevy of national guardsmen were there, getting ready for the storm, and the ladies all were over the top friendly. I recommend. you may see us again a lil later. all kinds of goodness up in this place.
